Routers have become less common over the years since the appearance of layer 3 switches. I set up my first router over 20 years ago, terminating early PBX systems into the router to provide VoIP and VoFR over Frame Relay and dedicated T1 links in Western Colorado. I have extensive Microsoft Windows Server experience. My first Microsoft Windows Server build was a Windows NT server in the late 90s. WHO I AM
Hi, I'm Joe Etchart. I grew up on a farm in Western Colorado, which gave me a great work ethic and provided an early lesson on the importance of identifying needs and addressing them before they become overwhelming. I enjoy what I do for a living and every day is a day that I learn something different.
I chose this as my career many years ago. I built my first PC in the early 90s and I completed my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1997. Since my first job opportunity, I took every chance to research and learn as much about the products I supported because I wanted to be effective and provide resolution to my customer’s technical issues.

Technology has advanced so much over the years that it is truly hard to believe. There is so much knowledge out there readily available as long as you are willing to dedicate the time to access and learn. It is hard work to keep up with new technology and on ways to keep yourself safe online.
